Crafting Tracker Snacks and Steaming Chicken Soup
Jump to Recipe
Welcome back to another exciting episode of Video Game Eats! I’m Jeremiah, and joining me today is my partner in culinary crime, Kevin. In this episode, we’re diving into World of Warcraft inspired cuisine, whipping up some tracker snacks and a hearty steaming chicken soup.

Tracker Snacks:
These are perfect for when you need a quick energy boost, just like a hungry hunter preparing for their next adventure. We begin by preparing our main ingredient: bacon. We slice it into bite-sized pieces and coat them with a mixture of brown sugar and northern spices for that perfect balance of sweet and savory. Once coated, we lay the bacon pieces out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and pop them in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes until they’re crispy and caramelized. The aroma filling the kitchen is absolutely mouthwatering!
Steaming Chicken Soup:
Our next culinary creation is a comforting steaming chicken soup. We start by chopping up fresh vegetables โ celery, carrots, and garlic. The vegetables are sautรฉed in a pot with butter and garlic until they’re soft and aromatic. Then, we add a touch of flour to create a roux, followed by a generous glug of beer for added depth of flavor. Next comes the unsalted chicken stock, seasoned with a blend of northern spices. Once the soup base is ready, we add in the chicken drumsticks and peas, allowing everything to simmer until the chicken is tender and cooked through (165 degrees). No chicken soup is complete without some hearty dumplings, so we whip up a simple dough using flour, baking powder, salt, butter, dill, and milk. After forming the dough into golf ball-sized dumplings, we drop them into the simmering soup to cook until they’re light and fluffy.

With our dishes prepared, it’s time for the moment of truth โ the taste test! We eagerly dig into our creations, savoring the smoky sweetness of the tracker snacks and the comforting warmth of the steaming chicken soup. The flavors dance on our tongues, a perfect harmony of ingredients and spices. As we indulge in our culinary delights, we can’t help but marvel at the magic of video game-inspired cooking. It’s amazing how a simple recipe can transport us to another world, igniting our imaginations and tantalizing our taste buds.

And that wraps up another adventure in the kitchen with Video Game Eats! We hope you enjoyed joining us on this flavorful journey and feel inspired to try your hand at crafting some video game-inspired dishes of your own. Until next time, happy cooking and happy gaming!
